Revenge
Aces and eight's, your hand I see
Tis a pity they were not dealt by me
I am a shadow of your past,
but the hangman's noose you'll test at last.
And I'll stand by the gallows and laugh,
the way you did when you killed my lass.
The dealer knew as the cards he passed
that you had been sleeping with his lass.
And by the slip of my tongue I've revenged at last!

Darkness
I am a child of centuries,
Of days gone past
I have been a warrior,
I have been a warrior's mask.
I am the mother of yesterday
of knights done past.
I have been the mighty oak in the storm.
I have been the oak tree's mask.
I am the father of ages
The keeper of history's cages.
I have been the cities,
I have been the cities mask.
I have the answer to questions
Your heart does fear to ask.

A Pale Horse
Look on the rise. Do you see what I see?
The man on the pale horse is staring at me!
My blood runs cold, my heart stands still.
He frightens me so the man on the hill!
So I turned my mount and run in fear.
And this was the thing that brought him near.
Death rides a pale horse,
He said " My dear".
With this my horse stumbled
And down I
fell into the deepest of wells.
And now, through the fires of Hell
I ride a pale horse that suits me well!

Dark and Lovely
Dark and lovely still and deep
she beckoned me unto sleep.
Beneath her waves so cool and crisp
she promises me a world of bliss.
But I am only mortal
I am only man,
thus death's lips
I fear to kiss.
